I'd bought some LEDs from Hobby Lobby before the lockdown, intending to put them in a Valkyrie. Even a cursory exploration of that idea revealed... flaws. So I went back to the drawing board, and back to Google. Found some snazzy, cheap LEDs online, and they finally arrived! Hooking these up was so much easier than my original plan. I don't even think I'm going to have to break out the soldering gun.
The picture below features a wee baby pin driller... And that's what I used initially to drill the hole for the lights. After about five minutes, I gave up and went looking for the power drill. Lots faster. A little bit less precise, but nothing I couldn't clean up with a file.
And there was a lot more drilling than I thought. Lots of places that the wiring couldn't go. Figuring out how to wire the troop-bay interior lights took a hot minute. The only way I could see was the connection from the cockpit to the central engine housing, and then through there to the troop-bay ceiling.
With any luck, and a bit of work, I should have this bird built and half-way painted by the end of the weekend.

-Six out.
